Resetting Activation Limit

Resetting Activation Limit

Postby rhfritz » Mon Oct 08, 2018 5:03 pm

Hi,

I've had my OMB Plug-ins installed since 2012 (looking at my invoice now). I know I've upgraded computers at least once; and wiped and reloaded hard drives at least twice. And recently I've noticed that each time Windows 10 releases a upgraded build (I just updated to Version 1809), I notice that Sport Tracks has required me to reactivate my plug-ins. Today I apparently hit my 10 activation limit. If appropriate, I'll post my Invoice Id in a reply message. But I'd like to get this limit reset.

Thanks!

How many activations of OMB plugins can we have? I thought only 2, but are you saying 10?

Just 2 - the 10 are nonsense.
However when you reactivate from a machine that you previously activated, the "old" activation slots are reused.
It's a pity that you're forced to reactivate after Windows updates at all. But I couldn't build it better in the first place and changing the activation mechanism later one would have incurred other trouble on users.

Cheers,

I believe the message I saw from Sport Tracks said 10, but I could be mistaken. But OMB took care of it. So I'm okay for the next few Windows releases. Thanks! :-)

OMB, would you mind deactivating the plugins on my old computer too? I sent you a PM on 21 Sep with the activation codes. Thanks a lot!

Great, thanks. Why do I see "activations: 2" next to the activation codes under settings? Isn't this the number of activations I currently have?

Should you get into trouble some time in the future, I'll be glad to help - as usual.
