Identify Activities with a Common Start Location

Postby dbrillha » Thu May 31, 2018 9:22 am

 I wish there was a way to select all activities that have a common start location (say, within a mile or two radius). So that I can then apply an edit to all the selected, to edit the Summary Information for all those to update the NAME field.

Use case: I have 7 years of activities, thousands. And would like to do some analysis on the Mountain Bike rides I've done in a particular trail system, which I can sort/search using the NAME field.

Unfortunately, this feature is broken in SportTracks. Their support told me to select ALL activities, then in the MAP view, select the RED squares for the area I'm interested in. But that does not work, which they admitted in a follow up chat. Which is too bad because that would be ideal.... if this worked:
- Select all activities
- Zoom into the map view
- Select all the RED squares (activity locations) for the area of interest (which selects those activities)
- Then do an EDIT SUMMARY INFO for those.

Any ideas? Thanks!!

You can use Trails for this:
https://github.com/gerhardol/trails/wik ... o-location

Limit activities to those selected in list

It might work to use Trail Plugin plus Unique Routes Plugin to define a short start segment and give it a sensitivity of the mile or two radius.
Take a look at the Trails wiki, Gerhard has many goodies hidden in the plugin.
