Something new?

Something new?

Postby cbenson33 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 12:44 pm

POC could this be an option of working with two zones? IE Heart rate and a Time Zone. For example run a mile in @ this pace 7:30 to 8:00 and keep your heart rate between 120-140 BPM. So I guess I'm asking can we set 2 goals? Or does Garmin not see this?

Not supported by devices.

What I do when I have 2 targets is that I use the step name for one (minor goal, usually RPM) and the target for the other (major goal, usually power)

OK that's what I thought. I'll give your work around a try. Thanks.

The same I do. Tipically with RPM. Obviously you need to have cadence as one of the optional fields that Garmin shows during workouts

Yes of course. I display 4 fields when in the workout screen

1) HR zone
2) Cadence
3) 3 second avg. power
4) Lap Power (I use this to know when to stop when doing repeats until exhaustion (I wish there was a "Last lap power" like on the newer Edges)

This way I always have my metrics regardless of target

I wish the Edge 500 had "Last lap" anything. You can only get current lap data fields on the 500
Garmin had it in the Edge 305 and they did bother to put "Last Lap" back into the Edge 800.

Yes I often wonder how they choose what goes in their firmwares...
