Migration

OMB, i've tried to search the right solution but i am unable to find it..

The Backup plugin as i understood it can be used to backup ST3 completly including all plugins and their settings
and if not all at least all OMB plugins ?

I am unable to achieve this, i have tried to make a full backup on my old laptop and restore it on my new laptop.(with st3 and only backup plugin)
the only thing noticable that changes is the activation of the plugins wich asks me to reactivate

at first i tought it might be related to my not activated copy of st3, but that is now activated

can you enlighten me?
because for example the calculated fields plugin lost it's "settings" and thus the calculations
and also i now have to reinstall 20+ plugins
Will i ever run a 10K under 40:00?

The plugin deliberately doesn't backup and restore the plugin CODE. Only ST and plugin data.
It does so for all plugins that follow a common ST guideline where plugins should store their data.
And it does so for several other plugins for which I've built special solutions.

is it then true that all settings of the plugins should be transferred?
and if so do i have to install the plugin first and then do the restore?

because now i have reinstalled a couple of plugins but it seems to be that none of the plugins saved their settings

and that's quite a lot of work to put them all back
what i did see is that my custom HR zones from the core program are in place but not sure if that is in my DB or via the restored preferences

thanks for the help it saves me alot of time 8)

All settings of plugins that "follow the common ST guideline where plugins should store their data" and a few others that I've built for.
Sorry, but I don't know for every of the dozens of existing plugins if it belongs to this class.

And yes: 1. install the plugins, 2. restore the backup

Cheers,
