Getting exception during backup under Win 7 (64bit)

Getting exception during backup under Win 7 (64bit)

Postby friesr » Mon Nov 15, 2010 7:36 pm

When trying to restore my SportTracks-data after re-installing the SW on my newly set up Windows 7 (64bit) PC I get an exception (see attachement) and, after each attempt, the backup plugin loses its activation-code.

This exception seems to occur when the backup has already completed. So it should not be harmful - the job has been done.
How did you restore - from with SportTracks or in Windows Explorer with a right mouse click - "Wiederherstellen" on the backup file?

Regarding loss of activation code:
This must be considered as "works as designed", when you reload your backup to another machine or after a Windows reinstall.
The reinstall changes the personality/identity of the machine so the reloaded activation keys won't fit.
The cure is to re-activate your invoice ids.

Cheers,

Thanks for your quick reaction!
I started the restore operation from within SportTracks.
After opening the correct log file I am able to continue to use the SW at the new location.
Thanks and regards,
Rolf
