Postby gringojack » Mon Jul 20, 2015 10:42 am

Hello

Just come out of a HDD crash
After using the backup plugin and a lot of time I notice that the export list is 3 times smaller as it used to be
where is the guilt?

thanks

Could it possibly be this: Extra file backup - Add file to list so its is remembered

This forgetting of selected extra files to backup occurs whenever you open a Logbook other than your regularly opened Logbook and then go back and open the regular Logbook.
omb cannot replicate since it will not happen right away, just that it will eventually happen
I just looked now and all my Additional Files to Backup are UNticked
I now check this every time before I do Backup Plugin backups...

Hi

The export list is that one that scrolls up from top to bottom when clicking "Export" from the "Daily Activity" section at the very left of the screen

This means that there are less exporters now.
This massive decrease points towards GPSBabel plugin.
Either you haven't installed it now, or the restored configuration has most exporters disabled.

Cheers,

Hello

GPSBabel file was missing
So now it works!

To reinstall, I used the backup plugin which is excellent. It did a good job!
Before I used it, I had to check on all the plugins I needed to download and reinstall, as well as invoice codes....etc. It took me almost a full day :(
Is there an other way to do that more efficiently and faster?

thank you

Hi

Beside Backup plugin that is excellent, is there any additional option or plugin that could help in reinstalling ST3 and its environment exactly as it was before crashing! (plugins, invoice #'s)
If not, it would be a good idea

thank you
