Cannot start ST because Backup has expired

Cannot start ST because Backup has expired

Postby Mauriceg14 » Sun Oct 06, 2013 1:20 pm

Dear sir,

I used Backup plugin for a while (bought it in Jan 2013).
Today, ST refused to start, I am redirected to a page to purchase it because expired.
Based on the messages, Backup seems to be the route cause. It has also expired!
I tried to re-install it: same problem.

Please provide me with links with a solution because I do not have time to read all the topics on this forum.
I bought many plugins ( dozens), I cannot believe I am not allowed to use ST any longer for a potential issue with a single plugin.

I can send you all the information that will expediate the recovery.
Does your record show I activated it?
Thanks and have a good week.

Regards

Maurice

Dear sir,

Solved! :D
We can close this topic.

I owe you an apology. :x

This evening I found out the logbook had been erased from the default folder.
So I restored it and ST was able to start. I still had the "Backup plugin expired" windows that popped up.
I updated the plugins, restarted and everything is working.

The behavior (complaining the trial version has expired for a missing logbook) was quite strange though.
I learnt the lesson and recorded in my notes.
Anyway, it is working and I am happy.

As you may guess I cannot live without SportTracks and you plugins.

Sincerely,

Maurice

Good you made a backup! Pwwwwww......;)

For the one that do not have a backup... a lesson... make NOW your backup, these things, a lost logbook, may ALWAYS happen.
You buy the backup plugin or you make a backup manually from the logbook folder.

Microsoft has a Synctoy program for free that can do the last suggestion for you. Read very well what the options are.

Manual: http://www.pchell.com/support/synctoy.shtml
Example of screenshot of a folder pair, choose your own folder pair for Sporttracks.
