Training Load for Cycling+Running

Training Load for Cycling+Running

Postby dbrillha » Wed Aug 21, 2013 8:51 am

I'm considering this as my tool for generating an overall Training Load analysis for running AND cycling.

I see that I will need "PowerRunner" in order to generate power data for my running, so it is compatible with this plugin.

I am getting a Stages Power Meter, so I'll have legit Power data for my cycling going forward.

But, I don't see how I can create useful data from my past year of cycling (without a Power Meter). I'd like to view my overall fitness trend over time going back a couple years.

Is there a "PowerCyclist" plugin that will estimate Power from cycling data using GPS data (similar to how PowerRunner works)? I do have HR data from my rides, so I can generate TRIMP data for those rides.

Thanks.

GPS Power Plugin is the one you are looking for.

You can quite readily train by power on the bike. Will you have a running power meter when you are running?

There's no harm whatsoever to ALSO look at your total training LOAD based on HR. and you can whap simming in there as well
