changed from forerunner 305 to 610

changed from forerunner 305 to 610

Postby hamster » Tue Aug 13, 2013 5:01 pm

Hi

Just a quick question.

I have just starting using a 610 which replaced an old 305.

The training impact seems to be much less with the 610 than it was with the 305.

Is there any obvious reason for this?

Thanks

TRIMP is calculated from the measured heart rate. Seen any changes there?

nope

i did a 7.65 km run with an average HR of 156 and the Trimp was 103 with the forerunner 305.

With the 610 I did basically the same route with an average HR of 159 and the Trimp was 90.

I have been playing with the hr zones if that will have had an effect?

Yes that can be the reason. How Trimp is calculated can be read in some of the oldest posts in this subforum.
Short: The trimp value is based on time spent in different hr regions and their factors.
