TA expired before it has even begun

Postby rcsmit » Fri Sep 24, 2010 7:10 am

Hello

I tried to install several times TA, but it expired even before I could test it. How can I test it??

If I click 'try it out' i get a pop up:'trial period expired'

I thought this forum is the way to contact him and seen the fact that he reacts here I hoped he answered. Somewhere I read that it was "forbidden" to contact him directly with problems, which is understandable if you have a forum like this...

A few users observed this. Currently I don't have the slightest clue why this happens.
If possible, you could try and install the plugin on another machine. This will most likely help.

Sorry,

When I go in to ST3 "settings" I can select the "training analysis" in that view (only), and I get this:
...
Activation codes: Plugin Training Analysis Plugin V3 has been properly activated and can be used without restrictions.

The Training Analysis Plugin does not have an Other Tasks-> Select view menu entry. The Training Analysis Plugin operates on the Activity level and is accessed from the Daily Activity view.

There are several entries in the ST FAQ section relating to Daily Activity. See Daily Activity Screen and also
Daily Activity view explained.

The screen shot below should help:

Has this issue been resolved yet?

I downloaded and installed the plug in but it immediately tells me the trial period has expired.

I have been a long time user of SportTracks but only recently purchased a power meter so I would like to try the product before purchasing.

Any suggestions?

Some other users have reported similar issues, but I don't have a clue how to solve this.

For now the only advice that I can offer is:
please try on a 2nd PC/notebook. There's a 99% chance that the "immediately expired" problem doesn't appear there.

Actually, I also get the expired-before-it-has-even-begun. I'd like to try it out before buying, is there a way? I'm eager to try this.

Cheers /Peter

I've found a way to overcome this issue:
please order the plugin in my plugin shop. Ensure that you continue until the PayPal page shows up.
However instead of paying, send me a PM with the invoice ID ("OMB 2011 ...") and I'll take care.

Cheers,

I just installed this plugin to try but also immediately got the message that the trial has expired even before it has begun :( I am only using SportTracks 3 for a week now and would like to try this plugin next to the Training Load plugin which runs fine. Could the problem be due to other installed plugins (I only have installed Training Load, Find The Best, Overlay and WB CSV importer) and/or de-installed plugins?

EDIT: Just tried the Weather plugin and it does the same as TA...
For what's worth: I am on a Win7 x64 with 4GB memory, an AMD 4850e dual core processor and plenty of HD space.

Just found your reply so thanks for the response! I'll have a look into it later this weekend. I might try first on my Tacx dedicated computer which is also Win7 but x86.

Tnx.

Okay. Just installed the TA plugin on my Win 7 x86 computer. I have setup ST similar to the installation on my working machine, Win7 x64 as mentioned earlier, and the installation went without problem. So there might be a problem with the SportTracks shareware activation system which seems not compatible with a 64-bit environment ?!
TL has a different approach to get the full version, with an Upgrade Now button, and this has not interfered with getting a trial version on my x64 machine.
Maybe it is just a silly date conversion/calculation but I hope you can fix it whatever the cause

Honestly, I don't understand.
Did you follow the instructins laid out in viewtopic.php?f=107&t=10600&p=63008&hilit=expired#p63008 ?
I can't remember that you had sent me a PM.

Sorry if I was unclear! I merely did a follow-up on my previous post in this thread where I wanted to try to install the plugin on my other computer before going the halfway Paypal route and sending you a PM. Bottom line is I can install the TA plugin on my x86 machine and have a valid trial period while this does not work on my x64 machine.
Hope this clarifies it better.
