Trainingsanalyse - Unexpected Error

Hi,

today I have installed the "Training Analysis" Plugin.
I tried to analyse some older cycling training sessions. But I get allways an unexpected error.

In the trainings sessions, I would like to analyse, are no GPS Data available. These trainings are indoor sessions :-) I have no other data to time.

In the normal views (e.g. Power) I will see the correct data.

Do anyone have an idea what is wrong?

I have a Windows 7 (64 Bit) system with the latest SportTracks Software.

It could be that the missing GPS data cause trouble.
Could you please export one or more of the affected activities to "Fitness Logbook" format (.fitlog) and attach the zipped file to your post.

Cheers,

Hi,

I am not sure if I have attached the file correct.

I have attached two files from the same training session.

The first one (Session1) is exported after the import.

The second file (session2) is exported after analysing with the plugin and confirming the error messeage.

Your file is somewhat strange. It indicates a timer pause that is completely BEFORE the activity's start time.
I'll fix the TA plugin so that it will tolerate that.

Workaround for you:
Open your .FITLOG file in a text editor, go to the very end and remove the 3 lines from "<TrackClock>" to "</TrackClock>".
Then reimport that file. Your error in TA plugin should be gone.

As I see from your .FITLOG file, it was imported with Garmin FIT Devices plugin.
Could you please ZIP the original .FIT file and add that to your post - so I can see if the strange pause was erroneously inserted by that plugin or is already present in your Garmin's recording.

Cheers,
OMB

I think the reason for the strange timer break is that the Forerunner 310xt recorded two trainings a day (running and cycling) as a Multisport activity.
If you press reset between both activitys this strange break will be generated.

Hopefully this is the correct FIT file:

Unfortunately not - it's an activity SUMMARY file.
The correct file should have a name like "20121005-193859-1-1499-ANTFS-4-0.FIT".
The first part of the name is the date, the second one the time and the before last one must be a "4".
It's in the "Activities" subfolder.

You're making progress :)
This time it's an activity fit file ...
... but one of an activity at 8 p.m. recorded with a Garmin Swim Watch

Next try, please

Yep, spot on.

Thanks for the data. Indeed Garmin FIT Devices creates a strange pause outside of the activity's time range which it should NOT create.
Will fix that for the next GFD version.

Happy new year - an guadn Rutsch,
