I did a bike ride on an indoor trainer. I have the training Load plugin set up for that trainer. I captured speed, HR, and cadence two ways - via a Garmin 310XT and using Live Recording. During the latter (LR), I used the Training Load plugin the see live Power Data and saved it with the activity.

I imported the same activity via the 310XT and then used Training Load to generate a power track after the fact.

The 310XT auto paused when I stopped cycling for 30 sec a couple times, so there's a slight difference but only by about 2 out of 40 min.

I compared the critical power numbers between the two versions - power captured during LR vs power calculated after and applied to 310XT captured activity.

For longer time CP, the results were only a little different, which makes sense. But for the shorter ones - the first 4, there were extremely large differences in the power and the HR. Does that make sense? I'm not sure I understand CP well enough to figure out intuitively why that would be.
