TA.... list settings

TA.... list settings

Postby easterbird » Mon Feb 27, 2012 9:18 pm

I am preparing data I want to copy and am using TA. I have the data I want selected by using the right click, list settings and selecting and ordering the items I want to copy. HOWEVER, two items that are not in the selected columns in list are there. Elevation change and distance are not applicable(spinning class). These two are in the available list but are NOT in the selected list but show up every time I attempt to paste the copied data. I copied it below. Advice?
Name Average heart rate Range Max. heart rate Time % Distance Elevation change
Zone 1 103 bpm 92.0 .. 109.0 bpm 111 bpm 0:03:09 6.23% 0.00 mi -3 ft
Zone 2 126 bpm 109.0 .. 134.0 bpm 137 bpm 0:18:46 37.09% 0.00 mi -3 ft
Zone 3 137 bpm 134.0 .. 142.0 bpm 144 bpm 0:13:40 27.01% 0.00 mi -2 ft
Zone 4 145 bpm 142.0 .. 158.0 bpm 152 bpm 0:15:01 29.68% 0.00 mi +/-0 ft
Zone 5 0 bpm > 158.0 bpm 0 bpm 0:00:00 0.00% 0.00 mi +/-0 ft
Total 133 bpm 152 bpm 0:50:36 100.00% 0.00 mi -8 ft
Thanks

You're talking about copying from the Zones list, right?
That list uses a "Copy to clipboard" mechanism which in fact has the limitation that you describe.
I've replaced it by a somewhat better implementation in many places of my plugins - but not yet the one you're looking it.

Triggered by your question, I've just reworked it so that it will work much better in the next version:
- only output selected columns
- output values to CSV file WITHOUT units so that Excel can recognize them as numbers
- output not only CSV but HTML and an image to the clipboard; I've never advertised that, but it's quite cool

--> the next version will be your friend

Cheers,
OMB

PS: Just in case someone would ask, when that'll be released: in a short while, whatever "short" means
