I've used my Garmin Edge 305 to log many hundreds of kilometers on a trainer: In all cases with the GPS turned off (Mode > Settings > System > General > GPS = GPS Off): All data (HR, Speed, Cadence, Distance) logs perfectly: Of course elevation is static and there is no GPS route.

Nice christmas present...

What is the URL for TTqaestor?

You can find all the downloads/screenshots/docs etc here:

http://tt.dietergreipl.de/

I saw this a long time ago - can't remember how I got there, but never used it.
I haven't really read the documentation there either.

You can use the files from the import folder that ST uses when activities imported from a Garmin device.

See runningmikes post - the root of that http://tt.dietergreipl.de/

This probably applies to the 305 also.

Also in ST, click on the little calculator icon and switch to manual "the pencil" that will probably fix your problem.

Just received an Edge 305 for Xmas and first indoor ride with it today, I uploaded to Garmin Training center and it does contain distance which is calculated from the Cadence/Speed sensor on the rear wheel versus GPS. When uploading to SportTracks I get my workout with splits, heart rate, cadence but distance is zero. I don't want to debate the "do indoor miles count or not" because the bike is standing still and not going anywhere. But is there something not configured correctly on the Edge305 itself or some type of configuration in SportTracks that will allow the miles to be logged? Thanks...

When downloading my activity directly from my Garmin Edge 305 the time of day for the activity is 1 hour later than it should be. If I download data from Garmin to their MotionBased software and then transfer GPX file to SportTracks the time is correct but I lose heart rate data. Any help would be appreciated.

High speed points are ignored.
See the FAQ (just added this).
