If you have found any other good looking export settings. Feel free to share it here.
Try to use similar template - short description, exported track(s) screenshot, export settings dialog screenshot...

Please post only export settings here. Use plugin forum http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=4977&postorder=des for other posts.

Ghost effect

Postby dobrou » Sun May 10, 2009 8:58 am

Ghost effect - large black image covering whole earth (DOWNLOAD HERE) is recommended to make earth darker. Then export as many activities as you have with these settings. Effect is made by setting opacity to low value. More visible and light the track line is, more tracks are placed in that location.

Speedwall

Postby dobrou » Sun May 10, 2009 9:26 am

Speedwall - one of Sample settings. Just click on proper button.
It's something like 3D graph with Y axis as speed (pace, etc.) and X axis as GPS track.

You can easily see stops, parts with fastest speed...
It's also easy to compare multiple activities which have similar route.

Use "Output MAX" value in "Track elevation" panel to customize how "tall" the track/graph is.

Overview

Postby dobrou » Sun May 10, 2009 10:04 am

Overview - one of Sample settings. Just click on proper button.
Suitable for large number of activities. (Try to export whole logbook - select last "Total" line in "Activity reports" view and export.)

Important part is that option "Track granularity" is set to "ACTIVITY". Which makes export visibly faster. But it also means that whole track of single activity can only have one color.

Arrow racing

Postby dobrou » Sun May 10, 2009 10:48 am

Arrowrace - one of Sample settings. Just click on proper button.
Like dotracing - but with arrows. You can animate one or more activities with arrows moving along tracks.

Time slider in Google Earth - animation is controlled with Time slider in Google Earth. With left and right slider you can select how long duration is displayed - means how long is visible arrow-line. And "play" button (second from left side) starts move animation.

Important options are:
  • Write time data - adds timestamp to every GPS point on track. Enables time animation in Google Earth.
  • Start every activity/lap at same time - this sets starting time of every activity/lap to the same fixed time. So all activities are animated simultaneously. When this option is disabled, activities are animated with time slider too. But every activity has it's real time, so they are animated one after another.

In "Color panel" select what is represented with color - speed, elevation, etc...
Or customize used color palette gradient.

Direction arrows shows info with actual speed at some places too. (You can change speed info to date&time, pace, elevation etc. in "Direction arrows" panel.)
