INTRODUCTION

- What is hrTSS?
Heart Rate Training Stress Score (hrTSS) is based on time in heart rate zones (based on users lactate threshold heart rate).

More info:
http://help.trainingpeaks.com/hc/en-us/ ... -Explained

-What is Lactate Threshold?
Lactate threshold is defined as the intensity of exercise at which lactate begins to accumulate in the blood at a faster rate than it can be removed.

More info:
http://www.active.com/triathlon/article ... -explained

FORMULA

hrTSS = [(HRavg – HRrest) / (HRthr – HRrest)]^2 x 100 x hrs

EXAMPLE

2hr 24mins, avg HR of 155bpm
Threshold HR of 172bpm
Resting Heart Rate of 52 bpm
TSShr = [(155 – 52) / (172 – 52t)]^2 x 100 x 2.4

HOW TO USE IT ON CALCULATED FIELDS

1 - Create a new custom field in the logbook called 'hrTSS' number type with two decimals.
2 - Create a Virtual Field called 'hrTSSVirtualField' with the next expression "({AVGHR}-{ATHLETERESTHR})/(172-{ATHLETERESTHR})" on Calculated Fields plugin whre 172 number is your Lactate Threshold.
3 - Create the expression "Math.Pow({hrTSSVirtualField},2)*100*({TIME}*0.000277777778)" with the condition "{HASHRTRACK}" on Calculated Fields plugin for the 'hrTSS' custom field.
4 - Apply it to the activities you want.

Enjoy!

Note: You can choose another field names and define a new custom field with last value option to define your Lactate Threshold value.
"({AVGHR}-{ATHLETERESTHR})/({HRthr}-{ATHLETERESTHR})"
