Rise and Fall?

Rise and Fall?

Postby benbun » Wed Sep 22, 2010 3:50 pm

A while back someone mentioned adding climb information to the charting aspects of this plugin.

As I am not a cyclist, could someone help me. Are climb and descent required or just ascent....

thanks

do you mean this question:
I like the idea of distance year view. Or also total elevation gained/calories. And maybe average values (e.g. heart rate, power, cadence):
Saw it somewhere in the forum of your plugin.

Because of climbing is difficult / heavy/ a challenge a lot of cyclist talk about altimeters. The way up i mean. I definately like that. A downhill biker probably likes it if you only count descent. But i would vote for count only uphill. Maybe you can do both depending on a setting.

Well for now I've added the climb information only. I'll have to have a think about adding any more in the future.

It was me who was proposing rise and fall.

thanks for adding rise, which is quite useful for all cyclists or trail runners.

Fall would be excellent for (downhill) mountain biking or for alpine skiing. would be excellent if this could be added too (maybe as an option for users who don't like too much data).

Now as data displayed in the chart section can be selected by the user: Please reconsider adding total descent, as this would be great info for all alpine skiing, mountain bike dowhnhills, sledging etc.
