On my PC, Sporttracks show the half cadence, eg 85 not 170.

Is it normal?

Cadence was previously used with rpm, full revolutions.
When Garmin started to measure cadence, they reported steps per minute instead, i.e. twice the rpm.
So ST is right in my opinion.

Would not it be useful an option to double the rpm as Garmin started a hard-to-stop trend?

Yes. The newer online SportTracks platform uses steps per minute for runs - no option needed. I can't recall if we started this or Garmin but it Just Makes Sense for running. I feel we've had this since day #1 on SportTracks, which would be 5 or 6 years ago - if not from the start it was a very early change.

There is no option in ST3 for doubling cadence, you'll have to stick with the older "revolutions per minute" value that comes out of the running watches.
