[ST3] Polar Flow bad tcx file

Postby Oren Nahum » Sat Aug 27, 2016 4:43 am

I have a problem when importing a tcx file exported from polar flow web site. While the route seems to be ok, SportTracks reports a very long route. For example, lets say the my route is 4.5km long, SportTracks reports the track as 6.5km. I can manually correct that value, but it also affects various reports such as worksouts, elevation and so on.

How can I fix this ?

Thanks,
Oren

I'm using V800 and Flow and most often export from flom flow and then import.
I don't see that.
Would you like to post a link to an activity or attach a tcx where you get this problem.

SportTracks always show you a calculated distance based on the GPS-track as default.
If you zoom into your track, you can see that your track is really poor. The GPS in your mobile can't give you a good track where you are running.
Because all zig-zagging in the track, SportTracks give you a longer distance.
I guess that Polar Beat (at least the TCX show that you use that) calculate distance with the internal accelerometer in your mobile which probably is better than the GPS.

If you click on the small calculator to the right above category and to the right of legend 'Data:', then you can choose to use manually calculated values.
With that, ST3 will get your mobile measured distance instead of the GPS-calculated one.
