Error When Shutting Down

Postby brirun » Thu Apr 14, 2016 6:56 pm

I get the attached message every time I shut down. The program is also acting odd. I get a message as if one of my plugins, Garmin Fit, has never been seen before. When I start importing, it is again as if I have never imported. I have to go track down the plugin I use to import, Garmin Express. Now that plugin isn't finding new data. I have no idea if that problem is related though.

Some help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Go to Settings > Plugins.
Find the one labeled "Trails Plugin"
Uncheck the box to disable it.
Restart ST3.

See if you continue to have problems.

I tried to do as suggested. The attached error is what I saw.

Is there a way to uninstall plugins?

I also don't know how to transfer this to the "Questions" section. Sorry.

Thanks for the quick reply!

That worked. I'm sorry. I was going to the wrong spot, as I'm sure you could tell. It didn't work, however, until I upgraded the plugin to the most current version. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for posting this question. I have been experiencing the same problem for about the last two weeks. I made the mistake of installing every plugin imaginable. Now, I can't figure out how to uninstall the plugins. SportTracks won't remember my settings and added weather stations. I tried to just do a fresh install of ST3, but all of the plugins somehow remained installed. I'll have to try again and read more postings within this forum.

I'm just replying to my own reply for others and for my own future reference.

If you have the issues described above, here's one solution:

Get rid of a bunch of your plugins and the one's you really want individually.

To remove the plugins, I performed a search on my pc for a file containing the word plugin. I was then able to find the correct SportTracks plugin file within my search results. Then I opened the file and deleted most of the plugins that I don't really need or want.

I then uninstalled SportTracks and then reinstalled it.

After performing these steps I no longer received the error message upon closing ST3. Additionally, SportTracks remembered my settings including OMB's weather stations and my chart settings within Activity Reports.

I will be much more cautious this time about installing plugins.

For the original problem:
If the program cannot close correctly, the program will not store its preferences.

I have tried to reproduce the problem but not succeeded. I have one explanation, then it is already corrected in the , a correction is available:
https://github.com/gerhardol/trails/releases
(other changes are pending too, not updating the plugin catalog yet).
If you open the trails plugin page, the plugin should close correctly.
