Difference between Notes and Comments

So I can't seem to figure out the different use cases for when to use Notes and when to use Comments.

What are each intended for?

Notes are for recording details about your workout.

Notes are just a text field on the workout. Nothing more, nothing less.

Comments are a way to communicate about your workouts.

Comments have a date, a time and an author, and can be replied to. Recent comments can be viewed from your profile. Respondents in a comment reply will be notified of comment replies via email. And you can comment on other people's workouts. Coach comments also have special notification behavior.

Moreover your notes can only be edited by the workout owner (the athlete that performed the workout), whereas comments can be by anyone with permission to view your workouts.

A few minor additional points.
- If you use the PC app, notes will be synched and displayed. Since comments are social / multi-user, none of that gets shown in the PC app.
- Because notes are part of the workout in some scenarios / data formats notes can be exported along with the workout (and imported into other software)
