Import from Polar Flow/V800/M400

Postby staffann » Sun Jul 26, 2015 3:46 am

Does anyone have expericence importing training data from newer Polar devices that are tied to Polar Flow, i.e. the V800 and M400? As I understand it, one can export a tcx-file from the Polar Flow site but what does it contain? Any information missing? Does it import well into ST3?

Has anyone (OMB perhaps) investigated the Polar Accesslink API to see if it is possible to direct import from the Polar servers into ST3? It was not possible with Garmin but perhaps Polar has a better policy? Accesslink is described here: http://www.polar.com/en/connect_with_po ... accesslink and here: http://developer.polar.com/wiki/AccessLink

I'm using a V800.
The tcx contains most of the things.
Split times is a little special. If you have done any manual laps then only manual laps is in the tax, otherwise the automatic ones.
The simple interval timer stores manual laps.
Phased workouts doesn't store any laps.

If you do a paus, it Is stored in a way that you do not see the time gap. Very annoying.

No temperature. Not usable anyway.

Personal notes and training type is stored at the end and a couple of sites pick that up.

I attach a tcx from yesterday. It contain one manual lap. I accidently hitted the lap button instead of the stop button. (I'm an old Garmin user).

At the moment I use SyncmyTracks to export from Polar Flow to Garmin connect. From there I get automatic to sites that has support for that, for instance St.mobi and Funbeat.

Hi, I also have a V800 and I use bipolar to extract data from the binary flowsync data stream:
