CTL rather than TRIMP

Hi

I was wondering if it is possiple to reach the goal a certain CTL level rather than TRIMP.
Since trimp is accumulated in the "reach your goal" based on the daily activity it does not tell about my fitness level.

Hi Henrik,
I will be honest. I haven't understood the deeper meaning of TRIMP or CTL until now.
The implementation of TRIMP was wished by PoC.

I can't say if CTL as goal type make sense or not.

A personal goal for me is be to keep my fitness level (CTL) within same level over a periode.

So if my fitness level is 55 a goal for me is to keep it there the next two months. Trimp on the other hand tells me about the acumulated training load over a periode.

Another goal could be to have a average positive performance (TSB) - that is average over a longer periode that your fatique level (ATL) is lover than your fittness level (CTL).

As far as i understand is that a too long periode with a negative TSB could have a negative inpact on the body.

CTL, ATL & TSB could be a good addition but a goal using them would be very different from the current types of goals which are cumulative.

Hmm - ok.

Where can I find CTL? I have the plugin "Training Load" installed, but there is no custom field called "CTL" - only "NormPwr".
To observe the goal progress, it's important to have a ST-field or a custom field.

Can somebody help?

No custom field. You can see it in the graph.

You can find the CTL and ATL value in training load.

1. Go into Training Load
2. View Activities buttom screen
3. Right ckick activities bar and choose "list settings"
4. Choose CTL, ACL and what ever coloums you would add.

Hi Henrik,
I'm sorry, than I can't use the CTL for the goals.

I need the data in (custom) fields otherwise I can't analyze the value of it.

It could possibly be added in Training load though. I can see some interest in having this value in reports.

is this now possible with the custom measures facility in st3? or has mechgt made them accessible in some other way?

i agree that to have a target trimp is relatively meaningless except on a particular day.

it is the tsb ctl and atl fields that are of interest when they meet exception points....or 'reach your goals' be they positive or negative goals.
