Activity Detail View - Elevation

The activity detail view includes several pages for charting pace, elevation and heart rate details for a particular activity, and showing total time and distance in climb, pace, and heart rate zones.

All analysis zones are completely configurable. For example not only can you define your heart rate zones by BPM ranges, you can also specify arbitrary climb zones by % grade, and pace zones by kph/mph or minutes per mi/km.

As illustrated by the screenshot at the right, all the analysis charts and tables as well as the route map are interactive and synchronized. With a single click on the route, I can see my distance and time at any point, along with the elevation and heart rate values.

Zoomed Activity Detail Chart

From the same activity detail view you can zoom either the data chart, or the route view for more detailed analysis. This detail chart view allows you to graphically edit heart rate and elevation data, even manually add heart rate data.

In this view you may notice the chart shows the percent of heart-rate reserve over distance for the selected activity. SportTracks lets you configure your min and max heart rate, and select analysis by either percent of max, or percent of heart-rate reserve (max-min).

Activity Split Analysis

In the splits view you can see details about your split performance. Splits can be imported from the Forerunner laps, or you can select standard distances such as half-mile, one mile, one kilometer, five kilometers, etc. You can also create and delete splits at custom distances for post-run analysis of particular areas of your workout.

The illustration at right shows a negative split during a long downhill mile which has been selected, highlighting the split on the route.

GPS Route Correction

Due to the unpredictable nature of GPS satellite reception, you will occasionally find your downloaded routes have incorrect data points. With SportTracks you no longer have to suffer with inaccurate weekly totals or "garbage" workouts due satellite problems.

In the routes view you can graphically adjust, add, and remove GPS points, using a variety of satellite map imagery for calibration. All route changes are reflected immediately in time, distance and pace statistics, as well as weekly totals. Gone are the days of running through buildings, cycling over cliffs, and walking on water!

Save Route Images

Saving an image of your route with background maps is as easy as clicking a button, and just like the route view within SportTracks, any map images needed are downloaded automatically. SportTracks even lets you create extremely large images of your routes, suitable for printing.

Click the thumbnail at right for an example of a very large image exported from SportTracks which shows the extreme detail possible using Terraserver Urban Areas images. NOTE: This is a 2.5 MB 4000 x 4000 pixel jpeg image.

Export to Google Earth

Select any activity in SportTracks and you are only two clicks away from opening the route in Google Earth where you can "fly" around your route over three dimensional terrain - no export / import or data manipulation needed!

The export dialog gives you numerous export options such as: route line color, width and transparency, start & finish markers with time, pace and heart-rate statistics, and an option to save the generated .kml file to email to your friends.

There is also a unique option to show pace, elevation, or heart-rate values as a vertical "wall". Click the thumbnail at right for a sample screenshot.
